SHILLONG: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement Youth Wing has sent a memorandum to Home Minister Roshan Warjri, seeking her intervention into the harassment by Assam officials on residents of Meghalaya on the inter-state border.
KHNAM claimed that the Assam government arrived at Madan Umwang, Ri Bhoi District and prevented the construction of a sericulture office sponsored by the Government of Meghalaya.
KHNAM called upon the personal intervention of the minister to protect the rights of the indigenous people residing in the area.
