DCC meet in NGH

A meeting of the District Co-ordination Committee was held in the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, North Garo Hills, on Friday to discuss the various developmental and inter departmental issues in the District.

Annual day

Army Public School Shillong, 101 Area, will be celebrating the Annual Day on November 27 at the U Soso Tham Auditorium from 3 pm onwards. A cultural extravaganza will be the highlight of the programme.

Quami Ekta

Quami Ekta was observed at NEEPCO Corporate Office on November 19 with an awareness programme organised by NEEPCO Women Welfare Association where Academic Awards 2015 were presented to the children of NEEPCO employees by A.G. West Kharkongor, Director (Finance) and Satyabrata Borgohain, Director (Personnel), NEEPCO.

Protest

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Meghalaya, on Friday observed black badge campaign in protest against the incident involving students of Kiang Nangbah Govt. College on November 10 at Jowai. BJYM members tied black badges on leaders of BJP Meghalaya and college and school students at Shillong to protest against the suppressive act of the district administration and the government.

Vigilance week

The Units of Shillong Group NCC is observing Vigilance Week from November 16-22. During the week, message was given by the DG NCC and read out to the cadets in all the colleges and schools. The cadets also took a pledge of vigilance.
