5-star hotel nearing completion

SHILLONG: The construction of the first five-star hotel in Meghalaya at the old premises of Shillong Municipal Board in Jail road is nearing completion and the  same is  likely to be inaugurated in the first part of 2016.
Sources informed that finishing works were going on.
The project, which started long time back, has gone through   several hurdles.
Private firm HM Cements, which is implementing  (Cthe project, has tied up with the famous Marriott group of hotels, USA for the project
The upcoming hotel which is being constructed at 72,000 square feet area will have around 200 rooms with state of the art facilities.
Under the project 30,000 square feet of land has also been reserved for the office of the Shillong Municipal Board, and the total estimated budget of the project is around Rs 100 crore.
