SHILLONG: One person allegedly outraged the modesty of a married woman in her residence at Laitumkhrah in the city.
Police said the incident happened on November 28 around 11.30 pm, when the accused identified as Bobby Jyrwa Nongsiej raped a married woman in her residence at Laitumkhrah, Shillong and also threatened her brother-in-law and his friend with dire consequences.
The accused also damaged the seat cover of a motorcycle belonging to the brother-in-law of the woman.
In another incident, one Shanlang Kharshiing (27) allegedly raped a fourteen year old girl at Wahumlawbah village in East Khasi Hills on November 26.
