‘Abductors will be ostracised’

SHILLONG: Border Area Headman Association of the South West Khasi Hills condemned the abduction of one coal businessman Dinal Syiemlieh from Borsora on December 3. In a statement issued here on Wednesday, the association also stated that anyone found indulging in abduction activities will be ostracized from the village.
The association’s secretary said that if anyone from any village is found to be involved in such act will be ostracized.
The association also discussed about the abduction of Dinal Syiemlieh in a public meeting held at Gillagoa in the district which was attended by people from various villages. They have also given a 48 hours deadline to the abductors to release the businessman safely.
