Assault
On December 22 at around 12.30 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted Ganesh Kumar (17) at Jingkieng Nongthymmai. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong.
Ricky Gairy P. Marak lodged a complaint that on December 19 at around 1.30 am, unidentified miscreants (10) went to a construction site at Danakgre (WGH), assaulted the labourers, took away their clothes and cell phones and also threatened them with dire consequences.
One knocked down
On December 22 at around 4 pm, one Maruti car (ML-05D-6124) driven by Angelstone Marshangbai knocked down Bringstar Kharsahnoh at Mawphlang (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was removed to CH Shillong.
Accidents
On December 22 at around 10.20 pm, one Maruti car (ML-05L-9425) driven by Ujjal Kumar Saikia dashed against a footpath near Bata shop, GS Road. As a result, one occupant sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong.
On December 21 at around 9 am, an accident took place between one truck and one jeep at Laitkynsiew, Smit (EKH). As a result, one occupant of the jeep sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong.
Rape
On December 20 at around 9 am, one Boinanwell Marwein (39 yrs) raped one 18-year-old girl at Umjaru village (WKH). Police arrested the accused.
Theft
Lalrinkimi lodged a complaint that on December 18 at around 3.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole her handbag containing cell phone, SBI ATM card, silver earrings, keys, wrist watch and cash Rs. 13,500/- from a shop at Police Bazar, Shillong.
