SHILLONG: Media Plus, the city’s first TV news channel, has been bought by ME Production owned by Marcus Lyngdoh and Elmer Raymond War with the proprietor of Media Plus to remain as the Producer.
A statement issued here on Tuesday said outsourcing of the news channel to ME Production will ensure enrichment and broadening of the news content.
Apart from the usual news, ME Production will also emphasise on Sports Special, Entertainment and Talk Show entitled Plak-na-Matïong.
It may be mentioned that Media Plus was the first TV news channel in the State with the first telecast taking place on August 1, 1999.
The new telecast will start on January 18, the statement added.
