Vodafone launches 3G in city

SHILLONG: Vodafone 3G services will be rolled out by March 2016 which promises superfast internet services.
Vodafone 3G will enhance the service experience such as multimedia, high speed mobile broadband, internet access with the ability to view video footage on one’s mobile handset.
While addressing reporters here on the launch of the services, Alok Verma, Business head-Assam & North East, Vodafone India, said, “The aim to launch the 3G internet services is to accelerate mobile internet adoption through penetration, consumption and value addition.”
Vodafone has initially, been offering 3G services in Assam and North East via bilateral roaming agreements with other operators.
The cellular company has been offering 3G services in a phased manner in Jowai, Nongpoh and Tura in Meghalaya.
