JOWAI: KSU, Laskein Ciricle has demanded for setting up of SSA School in the disputed Block-I at Moolber village in West Jaintia Hills District.
It may be noted that KSU, Laskein Circle had registered its demand since 2013.
They have expressed unhappiness towards the adamant attitude of the State Government to their demands.
“We wanted to remind the State Government once again to see that the SSA comes up in the village”, KSU circle general secretary, Leaningrad Tariang said.
The village should not be left underdeveloped just because it falls under the disputed Block-I in the border between Assam and Meghalaya”.   The KSU activist stated that if Assam Government can take up developmental works in the area then Meghalaya Government should also follow suit in this regard. The KSU also urged the local MLA, Robinus Syngkon and local MDC, Chanky Lyngdoh to take up the matter with the government.
