One murdered
A woman identified as Mandaris K. Bani lodged a complaint that on the night of January 13, unknown miscreants murdered her husband Balistar Marngar (29) at Nongkroh Rambrai village in West Khasi Hills. In this connection, police arrested one Lastcoming Mawtyllup (35).
Driver killed
On January 13 at about 7 pm, one Bolero Pick-up vehicle (ML-06-3118) driven by Benjamin Rynniaw (47 yrs) met with an accident at Renge Sohiong Synia (WKH). As a result, the driver died on the spot.
Pedestrian knocked down
On January 15 at around 10 am, one scooty (number not known) knocked down one Charles Mukhim (48) at Mawlai Phudmuri. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital, Shillong.
Two injured in accident
On January 15 at around 3 pm, an accident took place between one Maruti Alto car (ML-05M-6945) driven by Temsing Khonglah (30) and one Tata Sumo vehicle (ML-05J-9046) driven by Holifield Pyngrope (23) at Pomshutia, Pynursla (EKH). As a result, driver and one occupant of the Maruti Alto car sustained injuries and were removed to CH Shillong.
