SHILLONG: An explosion of a coffee machine in a city hotel led to the injury of five people.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon when a coffee machine exploded due to overheating at M/s Flavour Fast Restaurant, Lower Lachumiere, Shillong.
In the incident, one employee identified as Anjana Purkayastha (32/F) and four customers including one woman sustained minor injuries.
When contacted, police said that there was no foul play and the machine exploded as it was quite old.
