Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti will take a final call on government formation once she is convinced that the agenda of alliance is being reciprocated in letter and spirit by New Delhi, a senior party leader said.
Though government formation was not on the agenda of today?s meeting, but it did come up briefly, former minister in the PDP-BJP coalition government Naeem Akhtar told reporters after the meeting this afternoon.
The meeting chaired by Ms Mehbooba Mufti organised to discuss organisational matters ended, he said, adding the delegates discussed on how to take forward Mufti Sahab?s agenda for peace and development.
When asked about government formation, he said “keeping in view the present political situation this matter also came up for discussion for some time.”
“However, once Mehbooba Ji is convinced that Agenda of Alliance is being reciprocated in letter and spirit by New Delhi she will definitely take a decision in this regard,” Mr Akhtar said. (IANS)
