UDP all set to announce candidates’ list for KHADC by-elections on Feb 28

SHILLONG: The UDP will announce its list of candidates for the upcoming MDC by-election on February 28.
Party sources informed that around six candidates are vying for the ticket in Sohiong constituency.
Among the probable candidates is Fredrick Lyngshiang from Laban- Mawprem constituency.
Party leaders are hopeful that out of the 6 constituencies of Rambrai- Jyrngam, Mairang- Nongkhlaw, Pariong- Mawthadraishan, Laban- Mawprem, Nongspung- Sohiong and Nongkrem, the UDP is confident of winning at least four seats.
The UDP is all set to witness a change in leadership with the election of a new party president on February 27 in the general council meeting of the party.
