NONGSTOIN: Around 250 volunteers and village elders attended the VDP rally for Riangdo circle organised by the West Khasi Hills Police at Sonapahar Police outpost.
West Khasi Hills SP, S. Nongtnger, Riangdo headman, A.L.Nonglait among others, were present on the occasion.Issues like crime against women, witchcraft, detecting outsiders etc., were discussed during the rally. The participants were asked to seek the help of “Nongstoin women police” in crimes against females.
The SP, S Nongtnger also urged the volunteers to resist taking law into their own hands.
