FIR lodged against dual election card holders

SHILLONG: The voters holding dual EPIC cards in West Jaintia Hills came to the fore with the president of CSWO Agnes Kharshiing lodging a complaint with the Jowai police on Sunday.
The FIR filed by CSWO said that the organization come to know that a lady by the name of Rida Syndong of Nongjngi  village West Jaintia Hills, who is currently residing at Khlieh Tyrshi III Lumsehkot, has an EPIC with number (MCH 0655308) shown in part 5 of the electoral roll ( roll no 152) of  Nongjngi  village.
But ironically, the same lady has another EPIC no.NHR0063487 from Caroline colony, from the constituency of Jowai in the name of Ridaroy Shadap
In both the EPICs, the name of the father is mentioned as Philing Dkhar.
As per the FIR, another lady by the name of Arniris Syndong of Nongjngi village, West Jaintia Hills has an EPIC with number MCH 0677740 of Raliang Assembly constituency besides having an EPIC with number BKX 0641852 from Caroline Colony, constituency of Jowai in the name of Arniris Shadap.
In both the cases, the father’s name is shown as P Dkhar.
The FIR further said that another lady Ribha Syndong of Nongjngi Village, West Jaintia Hills has an EPIC with no.
ZNL0035378, at constituency of Raliang, She also has another EPIC in the name of Darihun Syndong from the same Nongjgngi and the photo seems to be of same person, the FIR added.
The CSWO sought investigation into the dual EPIC cards by the police.
