TURA: The disbanding ceremony of the Garo Hills-based militant organisation  — UALA – scheduled for Monday has been deferred following a request from the outfit’s chairman.
According to official sources, the chairman requested for the deferment of the ceremony citing several difficulties including inability to contact with several cadres, revision of cadres’ list and their mobilization.
A new date for the disbanding would now be communicated shortly, an official statement said.
In the meantime, the local committee for UALA disbanding shall closely coordinate with the outfit’s chairman and commander-in-chief and facilitate reporting, safe passage arrangements in camp and verification, it said
