Two toddlers killed in road mishap in Phulbari

SHILLONG: In a tragic incident, two toddlers were run over by a truck at Haripur village in Phulbari, West Garo Hills.
Police said the incident happened on the morning of February 27 when the truck (ML-08-0877) fatally knocked down two minor children – Salima Khatoon (4) and Md. Ibrahim (2) – after which the driver fled from the scene.
Two women dead in road mishap on NH 44
In another incident, two women lost their lives when a coal laden truck (ML-04A-5842) in which they were travelling fell into a gorge in East Jaintia Hills on NH 44 on Monday morning.
The victims were identified as Rilang Shylla (36) and Jam Shylla (25), both of whom died on the spot.
