SHILLONG: The FKJGP Nongthymmai Circle has condemned the incident at Khyndailad where Abdul Mukit, owner of a garment shop called ‘New Fashion’ had allegedly misbehaved with his female employees.
The FKJGP Nongthymmai Circle lauded the KSU for their swift action against the culprit and also condemned the Police department for arresting the general secretary of KSU Mawlai Circle, saying that sexual harassment is a serious offence and the Police department should have lauded the KSU members for bringing the matter to the police.
The FKJGP Nongthymmai Circle appealed to female workers employed in commercial hubs or shops to come forward and report to the organization if they encounter any harassment in their workplace.
The Federation also issued a warning saying that any person found involved in such immoral acts against the women folks in general and Khasi women in particular would have to face the brunt of the organization.
