Two drown in Nongkhnum

SHILLONG: Two persons were drowned at Nongkhnum in West Khasi Hills in two separate incidents.
M. Majaw, Research Officer, Local Research Station and Laboratory Meghalaya, Jowai lodged a complaint that on March 19, his driver Ferdinand Pakyntein was found missing and suspected to have drowned in a river at Nongkhnum.
Next day, his body was fished out from the river.
Again on March 18, one Charmily Jeengaph was drowned while he was swimming in a river at Nongkhnum.
A complaint in this regard was lodged by one Sylvester Nongspung.
