Land purchase files missing from EKH DC’s office

SHILLONG: Several files related to the land acquisition process at New Shillong Township, Mawdiangdiang, have gone missing from the Revenue branch of the office of the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner.
Following this, Additional District Magistrate of East Khasi Hills, B. Mawlong, recently filed an FIR with the police.
Police have already started investigation into the matter and the statement of the officers at the Revenue branch will be recorded shortly.
