SHILLONG: The All Meghalaya SSA School Teachers Association (AMSSASTA) formed the sub-unit of AMSSASTA Mawhati area in Ri Bhoi on Saturday with an aim to look after the welfare of the SSA teachers in the remote area of the district.
While Paul Khymdeit was named the president, Shranly Umbah is the vice president and Lucas Sukjai the secretary.
Meanwhile, SSA teachers from the area claimed that they are being threatened by the SMCs for opting for additional work to meet their day to day expenses.
