SHILLONG: The house of a prominent city-based businessman Modrick Nongkynrih was gutted in a fire that broke out around 9 AM on Sunday morning.
Short circuit is said to be responsible for the fire that gutted the house located at Mawlai Nonglum. The fire also destroyed a beauty parlour that was being run in the house.
No injury was reported and the total estimate of the damage is yet to be ascertained.
