No rape angle to GH girl’s murder

SHILLONG: Police have ruled out any rape angle into the gruesome murder of a 15-year-old girl in a residence at Resubelpara on Saturday morning. The girl, a resident of Bongaigaon, Assam, was working as a maid servant in the residence of one Mehbub Shikdar. Police have arrested one person in this connection and are on the lookout for another suspect. Meanwhile, the A’chik Youth Welfare Organization (AYWO) Dainadubi branch, North Garo Hills has condemned the merciless killing of the maid in Mendipathar and urged the concerned authorities to punish the guilty as per law.
