JOWAI: A meeting to redress public grievances in West Jaintia Hills supposed to be held on Friday failed due to the late arrival of the Chairman of the Public Grievances Committee, KC Momin.
The West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner, Arun Kumar Kembhavi had served notice to JSU, JYF, AJYWO and leaders of the Synjuk ki Rangbah Shnong and other prominent citizens of Jowai that the meeting would be held at 3:00 pm at the DC’s Conference Hall. Despite this, the chairman of the Committee failed to arrive even after they kept waiting for him till 4:30pm.
