SHILLONG: The Greater Laban Community Development Society (GLCDS) in its meeting held on Wednesday appreciated the efforts of Sanbor Shullai, MLA of South Shillong Constituency for pursuing the matter of having a full-fledged separate Traffic Branch in Laban which was the aspiration of the people for the last many years and the same became a reality in the year 2014.
The GLCDS has further decided in its meeting to approach the local MLA to request him to pursue the matter of setting up a separate Fire Service Station within Greater Laban area so that in case of a disaster, the Fire Service can be put to immediate use as the present Fire Service is situated very far.
