WJH DC unhappy with Jowai Polytechnic state of affairs

JOWAI: West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner, Arun Kumar Kembhavi paid a surprise visit to Jowai Polytechnic and inspected the technical institute on Friday.During his visit, the DC expressed displeasure over the “unhygienic condition” of the institute. “The staff and students toilets are very dirty,” the DC observed. The DC gave the Principal a month’s time to clean the institute campus 15 days to the hostellers to clean their toilets.The DC also found out that the students were not happy with the faculty members. Interestingly, the students informed the DC that there were instructors who took only three classes in a semester.
Besides it was learnt that students were never taken for exposure trips and shortage of equipment curtailed the learning process of the wards
