Gratitude
The Dorbar Shnong Umpling has expressed gratitude to David Nongrum, MLA, Jenimo Mawthoh, MLA, Latiplang Kharkongor, MDC, district administration East Khasi Hills and others for extending their help during the thunder squall that hit parts of the city on April 5.
UDP MLA bereaved
Tirillis Lyngdoh Nongbri, wife of UDP legislator Remington Pyngrope passed away on Saturday.
Her funeral will be held on May 2 at 1 pm at Umphrup village near Nongkrem.
Awareness programme
The State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Shillong in collaboration with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, New Delhi organized a district level awareness programme on Juvenile Justice Act 2015 & Child Rights at Trysem Hall, DC Office, Nongstoin on Friday. West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner, S. Kharlyngdoh was the chief guest on the occasion.
Clarification
St. Anthony’s College has clarified that the Cyber Club run by the Department of Computer Science, St. Anthony’s College Shillong in association with the St. Anthony’s College Shillong Alumni Association (SACSAA) organised a computer literacy course with students of Savio Evening School and not Savio Juniorate as earlier issued in the statement.
