SHILLONG: The All-India United Democratic Front (AIDUF) leader Badruddin Ajmal has made it clear that the party will always maintain a distance from BJP.
The AIDUF leader, who was in city on Saturday, told reporters his party will reject even if post of Deputy Chief Minister and other plum portfolios were offered by the saffron party.
Ajmal, a member of Parliament from Dhubri in Assam,  indicated he has no qualms in working together with Assam’s regional parties like the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) to form the government.
When pointed out that the Assam elections have seen the BJP-AGP-BPF alliance, Ajamal said, “Scenario will change after May 19.”
Ajmal  is hoping to win more than 24 seats in Assam.
