SHILLONG: Police have arrested one person for allegedly raping a girl in a city hotel.
A woman lodged a complaint that on May 12 one Kandingwell Syiem abducted her from 7th Mile, Upper Shillong to Riangdo in West Khasi Hills and later on May 13 he brought her to Hotel Goodwin, Police Bazar, Shillong, where he raped her.
In another incident, police arrested one Bormi Lhuid for allegedly raping a mentally unstable girl at Ialong village in West Jaintia Hills on May 9.
