Bus service
MTC will start operating the night bus service daily from Shillong to Hailakandi in Assam with effect from May 23. While the departure time from Shillong will be 7 PM, the bus will depart from Hailakandi for Shillong at 5 PM.
IGNOU course
IGNOU Shillong is offering a unique programme for those who do not have 10 or 10+2 qualification. The Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme is a six month course after completion of which one can pursue BA or B.Com. Details can be obtained from IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in or the IGNOU Regional Centre Shillong.
Training
The first skill training programme on natural dye is scheduled to be inaugurated on May 18 at 11 AM at Diwon village, Umden in Nongpoh.
