City to host national seminar on legal profession, judiciary

SHILLONG: The Bar Association of India in association with the Shillong High Court Bar Association will organize a two day national seminar on the topic “Current challenges before the legal profession and the judiciary” here on May 20- 21.
Informing this here on Wednesday, Advocate General of Meghalaya, B.P. Todi, said eminent personalities including Supreme Court lawyer Ram Jethmalani will attend the national seminar. According to Todi, the national seminar will help budding advocates and law students of the North East to get updates on the new amendments, laws and presentation of cases.
The seminar will be inaugurated by Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya, Dinesh Maheshwari, in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister in charge Law Rowell Lyngdoh.
