13 students expelled for resorting to unfair practices

SHILLONG: 11 students from Garo Hills region were expelled for adopting unfair means during the SSLC examination 2016 and the candidates have been debarred from appearing in the SSLC examination for one year (2017).
The names of the expelled students were released by MBOSE through the result booklet on Wednesday.
The eleven candidates include – Donme B Marak from Bajengdoba Higher Secondary School, Arhim R Marak from Indira Gandhi Memorial Girls’ Secondary School, Bajengdoba, Mojonsing R Marak (Bajengdoba-1 centre), Watsrang Marak (Bajengdoba-1 centre), Bapon Das from Rajabala Higher Secondary School, Rajabala, Rofiqul Islam from BNA Model Higher Secondary School, Bhaitbari, Ukil Amin from BNA Model Higher Secondary School, Bhaitbari, Sebani S Sangma, Rongjeng centre, Masuma Begum from Jana Mangal Secondary School, Moulakandi, Joyonto Rabha from Nabojyoti Paham Secondary School, Paham, and Sokina Khatun, Williamnagar centre.
Also, two students from Garo Hills appearing in the HSSLC examination were expelled for adopting unfair means.
The students include Saidinna Ch Marak from Tura Government College and Gamchira G Momin from Williamnagar Government College.
