SHILLONG: A day after the GSU alleged that the appointment of one Damaya-iaka Grace Suiam, as English lecturer at Tura Government College was wrong, Suiam cleared the air on the issue.
In her reaction to the GSU allegation, Suiam said that she had successfully cleared her under graduate and post graduate courses in English and had also cleared NET.
“At no point of time, I was employed as a lecturer in Economics as alleged by a faction of the GSU, neither did I accept the post of lecturer of English at Tura Government College which is actually a post sanctioned under 3(F) of prevailing government rules,” Suiam said.
The GSU had alleged that Suiam, who was earlier an Economics lecturer, has been appointed as a lecturer in the English department at Tura Government College.
