Demand for urgent road repair

SHILLONG: The Rilang People Development Council (RPDC) has demanded the immediate repair of roads in Rohbah village in Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills and its adjoining areas in order to provide fillip to the tourism industry in the area.
In a statement issued here, RPDC chairman, Commander Shangpliang also expressed gratitude to the South West Khasi Hills district administration for holding the Wah Rilang at Rohbah. “The holding of such festivals will bring about development of infrastructure in the village.
The tourism industry can bring in huge funds for the villagers here,” he said.
