Shillong: The Football Tournament organised by the ICFAI University Meghalaya, Shillong Campus, which began on May 21 concluded on June 4. The finals of the tournament was played between Bro XI SC and Top XI SC. In an nail biting finish to the match, Bro XI SC won the championship over Top XI SC by 3 goals to 1.
Earlier, in the finals of the Exhibition Match, the team of the Shillong Press Club was trounced by the team of Shillong Veterans by 6 goals to nil. The Closing Ceremony was attended by N. A. War, Executive Member, KHADC and MDC, Laitumkhrah-Malki Constituency, as Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour was Superintendent of Police, IC Traffic, Shillong, while the Guest for the occasion was the Rangbah Shnong, Malki.
Also present were the Registrar (Offg.) of the University and the Campus Head of the Shillong Campus of the University.
