3 held for assaulting labourers

SHILLONG: Shillong police apprehended three persons for assaulting three labourers with iron rods and bricks at Mawkynroh Block-3, Mawlai, on Monday.
District police chief M. Kharkrang informed that one Bhalang Singh Phanbuh lodged a complaint that three miscreants identified as Franklin Kharkongor, Horsius Mukhim and Thalainsing Khongsit     from the same locality forcefully entered into his compound and the construction sheds and assaulted his labourers who were working there.
The three labourers who sustained injuries were identified as Rafikul Islam, Afsal Hussain and Abdul Hussain. Two of them were admitted to the Shillong civil hospital.
The miscreants were remanded in 14 days judicial custody.
