Shillong: Surprised by the number of readers in the state, a Lucknow-based author, Ismita Tandon Dhanker expressed her contentment over the fast sale of her recently published debut thriller novel titled Love on the Rocks in the state capital on Monday.

Expressing excitement over the good response, Dhanker told media persons on Monday that she never expected her novel would be sold so fast, this only came to light when she went to one book store in the city and asked for the book where she found that out of the five copies which were sent, already four of them were being sold out.

“It’s such a great feeling, I visited Shillong for my holidays and never thought that I’ll get such a good response for my first novel from a small state like Meghalaya and I must say that the state is loaded with book lovers”, stated Dhanker.
