SHILLONG: Senior BJP leader Nalin Kohli has predicted that the Mukul Sangma-led Congress Government in Meghalaya will not complete its full term.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Kohli, which is the incharge of BJP’s Meghalaya unit, said Sangma government will succumb to its own internal contradictions.
Stating that the people of Garo Hills have given a loud and clear message on the future prospects of the party in the state, he said that the Chief Minister cannot look for excuses for the problems created by him.
When asked about BJP being blamed by Congress for making attempts to topple the Government in the state, the BJP senior leader said that Congress is now a sinking ship and everyone likes to leave a sinking ship and join a party of hope.
Kohli said that his party’s doors are always open for anyone who wishes to be part of BJP’s agenda of development.
According to Kohli, there is BJP wave in the North East  even as he added that BJP will be a force to reckon with  in the 2018  Assembly elections in Meghalaya.
When asked if any Congress leader has sent feelers to join the BJP, he said that people from various parties  are concerned about the current state of affairs in the state, but he denied having any information about any Congress MLA sending feelers to join the saffron party.
