SHILLONG: The CSWO (I), Jaintia Hills unit has sought the intervention of the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) into a case of alleged attempt to forcibly convert a private land into a place of worship.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, CSWO (I) Jaintia Hills unit president, Wansyrpai Shadap alleged that Nartiang police is yet to act on the FIR filed by the owner of the land in this regard.
The land owner, Libon Law filed the complaint against former headman of Nartiang village, Bin Raliang and his four accomplices for attempting to grab her land, gifted to her by her mother.
