Financial literacy awareness programmes held in WKH, WJH

NONGSTOIN/JOWAI: On the occasion of NABARD’s foundation day, the District Development Manager Office (NABARD), West Khasi Hills conducted a financial literacy awareness programme at Umjaru village, Nongstoin Block on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by around 80 participants from the area.
During the programme the resource persons sensitized the people on basic saving/deposit product, micro insurance (policy (PMJJBY and PMSBY), micro pension policy (APS) etc.
Meanwhile, the office of the District Development Manager, NABARD, Jaintia Hills celebrated the bank’s foundation day on at Nongkhroh village in West Jaintia Hills on Tuesday.
On the occasion, a financial literacy awareness programme was organised for the people of the village which is situated in the border of West Jaintia Hills and Ri Bhoi District.
The programme was organized in collaboration with the Society for Urban and Rural Empowerment (SURE), Jowai.
