SHILLONG: UDP candidate for the KHADC by-election to Nongkrem seat, HS Shylla has said that he will write to the village heads of Nongkrem constituency to prepare for the proposed ‘open debate’ between him and HSPDP legislator Ardent M. Basaiawmoit.
A day after the HSPDP’s Nongkrem unit accepted the challenge for a debate, Shylla in a statement issued here on Wednesday said that the ‘open debate’ will not be a platform for mudslinging but the opportunity to enlighten people on issues pertaining to the State and giving clarifications if any.
