Patna: A BJP legislator was arrested on Sunday allegedly for eve teasing a minor girl in Bihar’s Vaishali district, police said.
The Government Railway Police has arrested Tunnaji Pandey, BJP MLC in Bihar, on charges of eve teasing a minor girl, after the victim complaint against him, a police official said.
According to police officials, Pandey was arrested at Hajipur railway station.
“As per complaint of the victim, Pandey tried to molest her and also misbehaved with her early Sunday in a running train,” police said.
The victim and Pandey were travelling in Purvanchal express.
Pandey, a criminal turned politician, is also known as a liquor mafia in Siwan-Gopalganj districts in Bihar. (IANS)
