SHILLONG: Ruling out possibilities of any pre-poll alliance, the state BJP has indicated that it will go it alone in the 2018 Assembly polls.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, the state BJP president Shibun Lyngdoh said that the party wished to contest all the 60 Assembly seats in the   upcoming Assembly elections on its own.
“However, the central leadership of the party will take the final call on this issue,” he said.Referring to the recently launched North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA), a forum comprising at least 10 regional political parties, Lyngdoh clarified that the agenda of alliance is development of the NE region.
He pointed out that NEDA is a platform where all regional parties can come and submit their grievances and get information about various developmental programmes initiated by the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.
