SHILLONG: Police have recorded the statements of three NEEPCO officials against whom former Chief Vigilance Officer of the Corporation, Satish Chandra Verma, had filed a series of FIRs, informed East Khasi Hills SP M. Kharkrang on Friday.
Verma had lodged complaints against three senior officials of the corporation for allegedly extorting money from his subordinate Abhishek Kumar, Manager (HR), NEEPCO and preventing him (Verma) from discharging his duties.
Kharkrang further informed that the three accused had obtained anticipatory bail from the court.
