State contingency fund hiked

SHILLONG: State Cabinet on Thursday decided to increase the contingency fund from Rs 105 crore to Rs 205 crore. Chief Minister Mukul Sangma informed that the previous time the State contingency fund had been hiked was in 2005.A Bill to this effect will be introduced in the upcoming autumn session of the Assembly starting later this month.
