A motorist and the pillion rider sustained injuries when their scooty (AS01BZ – 3625) skidded on a turning and fell into a drain. The scooty was heading towards Shillong when the mishap happened at Quinine under Umling Block, Ri Bhoi District on Saturday at 3:20 PM. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Umsning helped in shifting Shiva (25years/male) and Abhijeet (25years/male) to Nongpoh Civil Hospital.
A pedestrian sustained injuries after he was hit by a moving car while walking on the side of the road. The incident happened at 14th Mile in Byrnihat under Umling Block, Ri Bhoi District on September 16 at 9:14 PM. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Byrnihat helped in shifting Shoba Das (60years/male) to Byrnihat PHC and then to Guwahati Medical College in Guwahati, Assam.
