The IGNOU Regional Centre Shillong will hold a two-day North East Zone of IGNOU Regional Directors’ meeting comprising of the Regional Centres of Shillong, Guwahati, Aizawl, Agartala, Imphal, Gangtok, Kohima, Itanagar and Jorhat. The Vice Chancellor of IGNOU New Delhi and the Director Regional Services Division will be among those who will attend the meeting.

Seng Samla Mawlai Pyllun comprising of 16 Seng Samla organizations (youth organizations) elected their office bearers with Goldenstar Kharbuli as president, Kitkupar Kharshiing as working president, W. Basaiawmoit as general secretary and Ferdinand Jyrwa as treasurer.
Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (Nongstoin) on September 17 elected Arful Kharbani as president, Yearning Dkhar and Skanliroi K. Bani as vice president & John Liverpaul K.Bani as general secretary among other members.
Football tourney
The Shilliang Um People’s Development Forum (SPDF) will organize the first Invitation Football Tournament at Mawthawpdah (Pynden-nah) ground on October 14.
