SHILLONG: Folk-fusion band Summersalt will perform at MSCSC basketball court, Mawngap on Friday for the cause of the state government project, ‘Supporting Human Capital Development in Meghalaya’.
The event is being organised by the NGO Aide-et-Action with support from the Meghalaya State Skills Development Society (MSSDS).
The event with its slogan, “Mon iaka lawei, Mon iaka kam”, or ‘Determine the future, determine work’, is designed to reach out to thousands of young people between the age of 18 to 35 and offer them the opportunity to enroll themselves for the free training programme with assured job placements.
Mawphlang Block Development Officer, M. A. Challam (MCS) has called upon the youth, parents and community leaders of Mawngap and its adjoining villages to participate in the event. The event will also witness young skilled professionals, once sponsored by MSSDS sharing their stories.
