One convicted
The Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Shillong in its  order on October 3  convicted one Danny Kurbah who was booked by Sadar PS U/S 110 (1) (b) Meghalaya Police Act for being found intoxicated and riotous.  He was also imposed a fine of Rs. 5000.
Accident
On Oct.5 around 8.15 am, one truck (UP-86P-0612) driven by Ranjith Singh capsized at Puriang (EKH). As a result, the driver and his helper sustained injuries.
Assault   
On Oct. 4 noon, one Kenny Wahlang (25 yrs) assaulted his 32-year-old wife at Langkyrding Nongmynsong, Shillong. Police detained the accused.
On Oct. 3 around 11.30 pm, four persons, viz., Malmal D Sangma (24 yrs), Ronny D Sangma (26 yrs), Alex Hmar (20 yrs) and John Lalringama (20 yrs) assaulted Subham Roy (20 yrs), Aniket Roy (16 yrs) and Yogesh Roy (50 yrs) at Thana Road, Shillong. As a result, Yogesh Roy sustained injuries and was admitted at NEIGRIHMS.
W. Pohing lodged a complaint that on Sep. 1 at about 9.30 pm, eight persons, viz., Maya Pohing, Lamphrangsngi Pohthmi, Hones Manner, Giten Dhar, Eden Pohtam, Shedrak Manner, Drison Pohing and Arti Pohing assaulted Biden Sutnga and Findly Manner at Ratacherra village (EJH). As a result, the victims sustained injuries.
One killed
One BKharsyiemlieh (24) of Riangdo under Mawshynrut died on the spot after he was ran over by a truck on Wednesday. The incident happened near Meghalaya Rural Bank at Riangdo
