Cabbies’ meet

SHILLONG: A meeting of the local cabbies called jointly by the Meghalaya People United Front (MPUF) and Khasi Jaintia National Union (KJNU) was held at West Jaintia Hills.
Various issues faced by the local taxi drivers was discussed in the meet.
It was also agreed that stickers for taxis are to be provided by the Police department or the DTO as is the practice in Shillong and that the cost of the sticker should not exceed Rs 30.
